Our fully funded Sustainable Business Solutions accelerator course is designed for any type of business that wants to start operating sustainably, whilst lowering energy costs, but isn't quite sure where to start.

Our Sustainable Innovation team is excited to be joined by leading academics from London South Bank University (LSBU), representatives from Hemp Block Technology and expert lawyers from Waterfront Law, all ready and waiting to equip you and your business with the know-how needed to make your first steps toward net zero and real-world change.

Sustainable Business Solutions is a free, hybrid two-day course open to all London-based SMEs. From tech start-up to independent highstreet retailer, this is an opportunity to come together, share insights, and explore how LSBU can support your growth.

It's part of our A2i Sustainable Innovation programme, funded by the European Regional Development Fund and LSBU.

Here's how your business will become more sustainable in just 12 hours:

Part one

  • Tell us about your business and its energy challenges
  • Learn about the changes taking place in the energy sector to become net zero by 2050 and how they'll apply to you
  • Discover energy-saving approaches and new technologies
  • Discuss how to make your business more sustainable and cost-effective

Part  two

  • Review green roles and responsibilities within your business
  • Discover how sustainability can unlock business growth and opportunities
  • Identify challenges your business may face by going green
  • Take a look at good practices with green procurement
  • Learn about Intellectual Property (IP) law and protecting your ideas

Delivered by leading academics from the School of Engineering, LSBU and Professor Issa Chaer, School of the Built Environment and Architecture, LSBU and representatives from SES Satellites, Waterfront Law and CEO, Hemp Block Technology.

Is your business eligible to attend?

Please ensure you meet our eligibility criteria before applying. Your business must:

  • Be a small to medium enterprise
  • Be registered in England
  • Be based or have an operational address in London
  • Have less than 250 employees
  • Have an annual turnover below €43 million*
  • Have received less than €200k in state aid in the last three years

* Have no more than 25% ownership residing in entities with an annual turnover above €50m and/or a balance sheet above €43m.
